Dear Friend,
I hope you are doing well. It's hard to believe how fast the last two years have gone and that I will have my masters in School Counseling this December. I have enjoyed my time in Boone immensely, but am looking forward to new adventures approaching. I am writing to tell you about an opportunity I have to go on a mission trip to Quito, Ecuador through an organization called Inca Link.
Inca Link is a missionary organization located in South America with several projects in various places in Ecuador and Peru. Their goal is to connect North America and
The main focus of my ministry will be working with the children in orphanages and churches in the
The trip begins early January 2009 and I will return in June 2009. The cost is $6,000, which will cover all my living expenses, transportation, food, health insurance and language classes. I would appreciate it if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me for this trip. I need prayer support along with financial support. I am praying for 60 people to give $100 each. Of course, any amount would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Checks can be made payable to Inca Link. All gifts are tax deductible. If donations exceed what is needed to cover my trip, I am hoping to stay a few months longer. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I’m excited about this opportunity to serve!
Thank you for prayerfully considering being a part of what God is doing in

P.S. The benefit concert was tons of fun! It was so comforting to be surrounded by so much prayer and support. It brings me to tears feeling the warmth of God's embrace. It has always seemed like a scary thing to just take off to another foreign country on my own (and I have previously found myself making so many excuses not to go), but I feel God's hand so diligently sewing the details of this whole trip that I have absolutely no doubt that he is leading me there. I find myself nestled into a comfortable place in my walk with the Lord here in Boone that it takes my breath away to think of leaving, but I know through the challenges I will face that I will be refined and sharpened and only drawn closer to him. While I be so far from anything or anyone I have ever known, I just imagine myself sitting in His lap. I had a stressful dream last night that I had an hour until my plane left and had yet to pack 6 months worth of stuff! I woke up thinking I better start packing NOW. It dawned on me that God has already been packing my spiritual suitcase everyday and has been preparing me with everything I will need. "Let not your heart be troubled!" ;) He sure knows what he is doing!!
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
