We all have a big next few weeks coming up beginning this weekend with traveling to Peru with Corban. Corban will be playing at a few camps, one in Manta, Ecuador this weekend and another one in Trujillo, Peru next week. On top of all this excitement, my best friend, Laura is flying in on Monday night!!! Corban and the other interns will all be leaving on Friday night to head to Manta while I will stay here with Jeff and Libby (the couple from Boone who are here for 2 years to run the the Mission guest house) and wait for Laura to arrive! Then Laura, Gustavo (an Inca Link employee) and I will head to Peru by bus on Tuesday morning. It will be a 24 hour trip and not exactly fun...however, I will have my Laura with me and I CAN"T WAIT!!! :D While in Peru we will be able to visit the new day care center at the garbage dump as well as the orphanage. I'm not totally sure of what all to expect, but am looking forward to the adventure! I feel as though I have become pretty good at "flying by the seat of my pants" here in South America! I've had to get used to never really knowing what the plan is or counting on the existing plan to be followed. It always changes. When Corban is finished in Trujillo, they will head down to Lima and a bunch of us will be returning to Quito. That way, I will have a few days before Laura leaves to take her around to all the ministries here where she will be able to share her music and ministry with the Ecuadorians as well.
Please pray for safe travels for all!! This will be Laura's first time out of the country and she is traveling by herself, so please pray for her to be able to find her gates, and have peace of mind, etc!
I'll keep you posted with our trip details after we get back!! Chao!!
